Refund & Withdrawal Policy
This policy explains how refunds and withdrawal rights work for Saydrop. We are committed to making sure you are satisfied with your purchase.
Effective: June 2026
01 Trial-First Approach
Saydrop is designed around a simple philosophy: evaluate fully before you pay.
Every copy of Saydrop includes a 14-day full-feature trial period from first launch. No credit card is required. No registration is required. You get the entire application, all features unlocked, for 14 days with no limitations.
During the trial, you can:
- Test transcription with your own voice and audio environment.
- Try both local (Gemma) and cloud (Gemini, if you have an API key) cleanup backends.
- Build your personal dictionary and configure hotkeys, silence gates, and language settings.
- Verify compatibility with your macOS version and hardware.
Our recommendation: use the entire 14-day trial period before deciding to purchase. If you decide Saydrop is not for you, you can simply delete it. No payment, no questions asked. If you love it, purchase a license and continue using the app indefinitely.
02 EU Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer located in the European Union, you have a 14-calendar-day right to withdraw from your purchase of a Saydrop license, under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU. This right applies whether you are within the EU, EEA, or elsewhere.
Important note on digital goods: Saydrop is a digital good that is downloaded and installed immediately upon purchase. EU law permits exceptions to the withdrawal right for digital content that has been fully downloaded and used. However, Paddle (as your Merchant of Record) applies a fair interpretation: you have the full 14-day withdrawal window provided you have not irreversibly used the product (e.g., you have not extensively used Saydrop during the 14-day trial + days after purchase).
If you are unsure whether the withdrawal right still applies to your situation, contact Paddle or Squibble GmbH immediately. We will do our best to honor your withdrawal request in good faith.
03 Refund Process
Paddle.com Market Ltd is the Merchant of Record for all Saydrop purchases. This means:
- Your purchase agreement is with Paddle, not Squibble GmbH.
- Refund requests are processed by Paddle per their buyer terms and policies.
- Refunds are issued by Paddle to your original payment method.
To request a refund:
- Contact Paddle directly: Visit paddle.com and log in to your account to view your purchase and initiate a refund request. Paddle provides a self-service refund portal.
- Or contact Squibble GmbH: Email hello@squibble.ch with your receipt and refund request. We will forward your request to Paddle and follow up on your behalf.
Paddle processes refund requests within their standard timelines (typically 5–10 business days). Once approved, the refund is issued to your original payment method; your bank may take an additional 2–5 business days to credit your account, depending on your financial institution.
For Paddle's full refund and buyer protection terms, see Paddle's Buyer Terms.
04 Scope of Refunds
Refunds apply to the license fee paid for Saydrop. Because this is a digital good:
- Your refund request should be made before you have substantially used Saydrop. We define "substantially used" as having tested transcription, cleanup, and core features during the 14-day trial and then continuing heavy use after purchase. Light usage (a few test dictations) during the 14 days before purchase and requesting a refund shortly after is within the refund window.
- Refunds are subject to Paddle's Buyer Protection Terms. Paddle may require documentation (e.g., proof of purchase, evidence of a technical issue) to process your refund.
- VAT and taxes: If VAT or other taxes were charged in your jurisdiction, the refund amount will be the full purchase price including tax. Your bank or credit card issuer may report this separately.
What is NOT refundable:
- Charges for future updates or maintenance (included free with your license).
- Charges for cloud cleanup services (if you enabled optional Gemini API integration and incurred costs with Google directly).
- Support services or custom configurations provided by Squibble GmbH.
